Brenton Petrillo of West Manchester Township, and Matt Samms of Conestoga Township, Lancaster County, paddled around the Columbia-Wrightsville Bridge on Tuesday. Both are members of York's Conewago Canoe Club, and are preparing for another race out of Columbia on July 13. The first 'Susquehanna Gateway Flatwater Challenge' is July 20 and open to all skill levels ages 12 and up. The Susquehanna Gateway Heritage Area will host the event on Lake Aldred at the Indian Steps Museum Pavilion in Lower Chanceford Township.
