Pennsylvania Farm Show opens

The Farm Show opened to large crowds that wandered through the animal barns, ate at the food court, discovered new ways of farming and saw cakes, pies and cookies judged and awarded. In the large arena, the high school rodeo was the star attraction. Kamie Landolfi, 11, of Warrington Township is a 68-pound sixth grader at Northern Middle School, but is on her way to rodeo fame, if her family success is an indication. At right is a friend Taylor Miller of Newville. Her Dad, Dave, is a two-year national calf roping champion; her mother Tandi was the all-around national champion cowgirl, and big sister Kelsey, is the reigning 2010 Pennsylvania High School Rodeo Association team roping champion. The Pennsylvania Farm Show kicked off Saturday to typically huge crowds and unseasonably mild temperatures. January 7, ,2012. Bil Bowden photo
