YTI works with SPCA to spay/neuter shelter animals

  • Sixth term veterinary students at York Technical Institute assist Dr. Sarah Zimmerman neuter a pit bull from the York SPCA, Thursday October 8, 2015. YTI recently added 600 sq.ft of new kennel space and refitted the former reception area of their vet tech program area into a exam room/lab. The expansion will allow the program to increase capacity from four dogs and eight cats a week, to twelve dogs and twelve cats. YTI's vet tech program works with the SPCA to provide spay/neutering services for free to the shelter, in exchange for their students gaining experience. John A. Pavoncello -
